Sample Itinerary for our Gourmet Food and Wine meander in North Provence
Day 1 Transfers from either Orange or Avignon from 2pm onwards. We will pick you up and transport you back to one of the most beautiful villages in France where we will spend the next week staying in a luxury villa with it’s own pool
Drinks and canapés will be served poolside before our lavish welcome dinner prepared by our in house private chef.
Day 2 Enjoy a beautiful breakfast on the terrace overlooking the vines then join us for a leisurely hike along an ancient river bed where we'll have a cheese and wine picnic, you will get wet which is part of the fun! We then stop for afternoon tea or a cleansing ale in one of the most charming spots in Provence with views which take your breath away.
Relax before dinner served in the garden
Day 3 Enjoy the famous Sunday market in Isle sur La Sorgue. This fabulous “Venice of Provence” hosts the largest, food, bric- a- brac and antiques market in Provence.
We will enjoy a lunch at a beautiful restaurant by the river in the centre of town.
Dinner will be back at the villa prepared for us by our very talented private chef.
Day 4 Drive through the spectacular local wine area tasting as we go, with stops in places like Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise and Gigondas.
Lunch back at the villa before a private winery tour in the local village with incredible tastings in the cellar amongst the French oak barrels.
Dinner served on the terrace.
Day 5 Visit the bustling Roman town of Vaison La Romaine. The market here is one of the best in the region and the local shops provide some excellent retail therapy.
Take a tour of the market with our chef where we will pick up gloriously fresh produce to take back to the villa for a fabulous cooking class hosted by our chef, this will be followed by a long lazy lunch in the garden.
Day 6 Join us for a hike into the local hills or relax by the pool in the morning. Lunch will be a wonderful ‘Picnic in Provence’ in a local vineyard hosted by the charming vigneron and his wife, perched high above the village where the wines you are drinking are growing at your fingertips, it’s a magical day.
Dinner will be a BBQ served by the pool.
Day 7 Take a short drive through beautiful countryside and stop for a snack in the village of Malaucene. From here we will drive up the massive Mont Ventoux, the ‘’Giant of Provence’’ of Tour de France fame. The views from the summit are incredible, on a clear day you can see all the way to Corsica. The descent down the other side is through fields full of lavender and poppies.
Our farewell dinner will be another glorious treat, again prepared by our private chef.
Day 8 Breakfast will be served prior to guests departure, transfers back to Orange or Avignon can be arranged at any time.
